It's immature but I bet you'll be here dragging Jack if his album flops or doesn't perform well enough

I meant the thread was made way too early. I think this is a comparison that should’ve been made after his album dropped if he did well. Baby got the 1 up and it’s not even close at the moment tbh. Jack got a long way to go. He’s still competing with B tier stars like Polo G and 42 Dugg.

Well honestly I think at this point Mac Miller’s early work can be compared to Jack’s on strictly subject matter. Correct me if I’m wrong but I remember when Mac first came on the scene he was making that frat boy party rap similar to what Jack is making.

Mac Miller lasted so long because his music got real substantial later in his career and resonated with a lot more people than the frat rap did. If Jack goes a similar route he can easily have that same success.

mac was so corny early on he became a dope artist around 2012-2013 time tho

Yeah, radio helps them out a lot. If you wanna know how big the songs really are, check out their RIAA certifications and how many streams they've pulled in the US.

Drake gets less radio play than Kid Laroi amost a year old song with Justin Bieber

    It's so disrespectful.

    Harlow music is trsh

He just needs to get his bars up. The swagger and confidence is there. The X factor that makes you marketable is there. Voice and flow are great. Production is on point with the singles. But he delivers these lines like he’s drake or Hov and they are extremely basic lol.

Oh, I know. The thread title was sort of baity but I feel like the discussions we're having aren't. No one is trying to say Jack is as big as Baby. We're more so discussing his potential and yeah it might seem premature, but I don't really think it is since his album drops in a month.

Baby out here cancelling concerts due to low ticket sales.

We got any evidence of that happening with Harlow at this point.

But that doesn't make sense to why it is able to get so much radio play in the first week it's literally unfair.

Problem is Drake and Taylor came up during the monoculture era where big pop stars felt like big pop stars

Harry will really never reach that simply due to how culture works now

The album had the third-largest sales week of 2019 in the US and broke the record as the biggest debut from a British male artist since Nielsen SoundScan began, earning 478,000 album-equivalent units.
