No I'm black, and we only cared about Ordinary People/Green Light.
Other than that he wasn't nobody the black community was going CRAZY over. Usher, Chris, Ne-Yo, Lloyd, etc were all more popping. Hell even Robin Thicke was bigger with the blacks in the 2000s. He was just there in the background for a few years, that's it. Nobody was obsessed with him.
John fell off with black people by like 2009, got All Of Me, then fell off musically altogether after that.
His status as some Hollywood elite don't make no sense. Black people liked him for about 3 songs and white people literally only know 1 song.
