Numbers on billboard include streams though. Yeah no one sells anymore. But people are streaming like crazy which in turn leads to “sales”

I mean all of it. Even the biggest rap artist rn (Drake) sold 750k on his last album with 25 songs...that’s not even that ridiculous and he ends up getting beat by someone like Post over long term after a year or two....no ones doing a million or consistently selling 300k per week at a rate where it warrants discussion. As long as you get a number one and go platinum eventually you’re good and barely anyone will care. Adele the only one who can potentially pull long term interesting sales even Taylor dives off massively

And it especially doesn’t matter with Kanye over 15 years in. The sales talk is just tired like it’s all a bunch of artist doing like 100-300k unless it’s a mainstream superstar who may do more (but this is a very small group). That’s all boring to be talking about like people would in the past
