Witnessing all the gods of the game continuously losing thier sparkle by releasing mediocre, lazy and non extraordinary projects with little substance and small staying power these last few years, i feel like kendrick is fully aware!
Knowing his natural love for the game and his mentality i really count on him to deliver the magic that'll shake the streaming robotic momentary hype cycle and bring back some of that authentic feel and joy of a grand hiphop album release to the current climate!
& I'm not a kdot stan by any means but i highly regard him
Hoping this thread age well lol

  • Oct 26, 2019

He's just a musician who cares about his music being good. It's rare this century but there's still artists who are like that.

    He's 3 albums in.
The trick is to know when to quit.

The problem is that they're not

Next album will be great but it won’t appeal to the average hip hop listener. TDE will throw in one or two filler songs that’ll make radio but no one will really like it.
But the album will be good compared to everything else
Cudi is really the one that can change the game to be honest

  • Oct 26, 2019

bro if he drops some above damn level s*** imma be real f***in happy

You missed the point. I mean that keeping it consistent for 3 albums isn't a major feat.

  • if he hits another peak it would be pretty crazy

Yeah, he basically won the game by quitting it. How exceptional, creative and risk free... At least Drake and Cole still drop fire along with their mid. Kenny hasn't dropped a song in like 3 years, he could be a hologram for all we know..

Ye my favorite artist but he 16 years in, has a family and business ventures don’t really expect much from him. He’s done everything and more. It’s been Kenny and frank time for the last 3-4 years
