I think it’s f***ed up to breed dogs to have certain qualities that can be medically detrimental sometimes.

I don't see my dog surviving in the wild

If anything it was morally right to take him from that shelter and give him a warm home food and water every day

Na dogs and cats live n da streets everyday

And they are starving cause they don't know how to hunt like wild animals.

Strays typically eat leftover food by us if they can find some.

Cats aren’t dependent on people .

I would say they're less dependent than dogs but they would still get f***ed up in the wild.

I don't agree with keeping animals that need to be in cages to live with you (birds, big cats, Snakes, iguanas, etc) but dogs and house cats are fine

Keeping pets originally started before the idea of "mortality" even existed. We domesticated wolves back when it was a mutually beneficial relationship, of which there are plenty in nature. We needed security, the wolves needed constant meals. That's pretty moral to me.

Today, we have a different dynamic obviously. We get dogs as pets because were bored, or want companionship, or even just as exercise partners. People breed abominations for the purpose of selling them, which distorts the animal and creates a creature that suffers for our enjoyment.

So, I guess in conclusion. It's moral to own pets, but there's a lot of immoral behavior surrounding the industry of pets.

They’re domesticated. Majority of animals aren’t and should be free to roam the untamed wild
