I mean its been more influential but kendrick has a better body of work as a whole based off consistency and quality

I personally disagree but completely understand why you’d say that. Kendrick has time on his side for that argument. Wayne has over 20yrs and the fact he came in the game as child working against him when it comes to the discography convo.

Nah, he'll die as the hip hop artists that critics loved the most. Which for some, qualifies him as the best.

Imagine limiting his music to just that. Hating at its finest

If he drops a classic and die shortly he ll be the next 2pac

Why does an artist always have to be “the next ____” like just let him carve out his own legacy

Don’t use the word discography then

😂. Kendrick has 4 albums that have placed him in this convo.

Wayne has 13 albums and over 12 mixtapes.

Kendrick has the better discography even with Mixtapes included. Wayne has a lot more trash than he doesn’t good music. By a lot

nothing but facts there. I mean the only knock against kendrick that someone could have when it comes to rivaling Wayne is influence. Wayne has literally birth a generation

I mean people will see Kendrick the same people see 2pac today a true Legend. He ll be Kendrick not 2pac, I meant that he ll be 2pac legend status.

    yes

eminem peak hasnt aged that well imo even tho is great, wayne's s*** is more timeless

eminem's has amazing classics but wayne had way more longevity imo and his influence is undenieable

plus eminem ruined his legacy way too much for me to put him on top of kendrick

I feel you but the fact Em has had the time to do that has to count for something. I’m not even a big Em fan but being able to go another 10 dropping mainly trash and still selling is impressive. Not saying you should put Em above Kendrick but I’m just throwing out the fact he’s a lot of time in the game.

He needs more material... He only has had like 3 eras so far since his debut, other legends have had at least 5 good ones before falling off

And still his discography matters more than Kendrick

honestly, gkmc era kendrick is the best rapper of all time for me. i feel like after that he went insane because of the pressure to follow up.
TPAB is amazing, but i miss that ease and laid backness he had back then. he was more relatable and not trying to be prophetic.

Kendrick has enough work out there to judge him on a grande scale

I’d add longevity and impact on top of that. Longevity is a big deal to me and when you consider a big portion of Wayne’s career was carrying a label everyone thought was supposed to die on his back is impressive. He also has his own label and gave us two superstars from it, one being the biggest rapper out right now. C3 going plat the first week in a time where that didn’t even seem realistic.

    no

I genuinely think people are going to sour on him soon

white critics will continue to praise him as groundbreaking though

Kendrick has yet to break any grounds

Wearing clothes has nothing to do with hating fame. Andre teases snazzy as well. It’s the expectancy that’s sometimes too much to live up to. He speaks on it a lot and referenced Andre lyric of the same persuasion.
