I used to think like this
But being the best at making albums doesn’t make you the best rapper
Ye and Kendrick have better catalogs than most if not all solo rappers but neither is a better rapper than nas no matter how many duds he has
You gotta find your way to weigh all the categories but the album catalogue thing isn’t the only metric

Why would I care how skilled a rapper is if their songs aren't any good? Can't imagine making a list of rappers I respect more than I enjoy centered on a series of skilled-based factors

Why would I care how skilled a rapper is if their songs aren't any good? Can't imagine making a list of rappers I respect more than I enjoy centered on a series of skilled-based factors

Songs is different but you were talking albums no? Because ironically as great as Kendrick albums are he’s not the best rapper at making songs, far from it really, his skill is making albums
