kendrick’s discog clears wayne’s easily but i don’t think im taking him as a straight up rapper over wayne in his prime, he was a flawless blend of wordplay, charisma, brilliant delivery and was pioneering new vocal styles that you still hear in today’s hip-hop

wayne putting out a lot of high quality s*** in his prime is a bonus but that’s not what im staking it on at all, wayne has shown a plethora of styles and an ability to do borderline any sort of rap imaginable, that’s not to say Kendrick can’t but Wayne was just tapped into way more sounds and was way more of a trailblazer in general

i wouldn’t object too hard if someone has him over wayne in an all time list but i’d have my reservations, besides that i don’t really care about what an artist does outside of their prime if im being honest for an all time list, i care about what they did at the peak of their artistry, longevity isn’t something i weigh really heavily at all
