Kendrick has a pretty weak legacy as a global icon and not dominant enough or active enough to be the GOAT.

As an artist, Kendrick barely cracks top 15. Purely musically/sonically speaking his actual music is nothing special. His RAPPING carries it completely.

Bad take, not only does he have at least 2 of some of the top 10 concept rap albums ever but this nigga has some of the biggest hits of any rapper since he went big and most of them don’t even lean on the crutches of a melodic hook

Kendrick’s music doesn’t reach non-rap listeners. It doesn’t transcend the genre. He doesn’t push the envelope in that regard.
He takes advantage of the “what happened to real bars/real message?” crowd within rap and they adore him for that.
