Rolling Stones had succesful tours for 2/3 of their career, even long after the last time they put out any notable music.
Just like many other artists who manage to sell out arenas as legacy acts no more being relevant "in the moment".

He's gonna need to drop 2 duds in a row for me to say he's washed but MMATBS was a massive miss, made more noticable because it was his first album in 5 years and the follow-up to DAMN, his most mainstream/successful album yet.

He can definitely bounce back on his next album but if he takes another 5 years to drop that, it won't matter.

A better question is asking at what point is an artist solidified to where they’re above this like Kendrick or even Nas to throw it back a few weeks
