I don’t think it is, but it’s great and has a terrifying villain…maybe one of the best I’ve seen in a movie because he’s so different
What's everyone's interpretation of the all the mesmerism s*** and ending? I like the idea that of the antagonist acting as a vessel for this force, but I much prefer the more grounded reading of the entire thing, it gives the perpetrators way more agency and just makes it so much more unsettling
I think it’s pretty straightforward, the detective gets possessed and everything is out of his control after he meets the killer in the cell
Then it starts some cycle of killing, which is implied at the end
The presentation makes it all the more better
