I made a LANDR account to test out their mastering engine and so far I’m not impressed.

What I’ve observed is that the “original” song sound alot lower then their “master” of my song which would seem obvious right?

However when I do an A/B/C comparison with the “native original” song that is saved on my phone it sounds better than both the “original” and “master” that are playing on the LANDR site.

I think they decrease the quality and volume level of the song you upload so that it sounds like s*** and then make their master sound better to trick you into paying.

My track sounds better if not the same as their master before they downgraded the quality.

    Anyone else notice this?

I find this is the best free mastering service, it's worked pretty damn well for me

    Not a fan

Would just rent ozone thru splice for $10 a month, it also has a feature that automates mastering for you. And then you can just individual parameters to your liking afterwards.
