They can’t larp cus pandemic let them cook

F*** off Punch
The L in LAZERS stands for Lupe you see things work in cycles like Bobby Brown acting like Michael there’s a POC problem in the music industry so even though I might be white my mixtape stands for black-empowerment and showing people that they can achieve whatever they want to despite being whatever race they are because the system knows what you’re trying to do and what I’m trying to do so do what you can even if you’re not good at it and we will cheer you on for effort because that’s all that matters in the ultra-pc world we call society
His music is better these days but his career never recovered after Lasers.
His whole career trajectory changed after Lasers.
Atlantic should have let him do his original 3rd planned 3 DISC album LUPEND
but there was no way in hell they were going to let him do a 3 disc album to get out of his contract lol.
I was in 6th grade when it came out, back when I was huge on Wiz and Rolling Papers, so I'll always enjoy it even if it might be more label oriented. Til I get there and Letting Go>
I'll always see it as a product of his label
Even then we still got a classic song out of it
This and till I get there
The way i see it Lasers is a W cause it made him bounce back and drop the greatest album in his career
His entire career is an L not just Lasers
Because his name starts with an L
Nice one
I'll always see it as a product of his label
Even then we still got a classic song out of it
this. this was more of an L for atlantic, exposing them as a s***ty label to up and coming artists, than it was for lupe. theres still some decent songs on there, but it was never Lupe's album

Facts
somebody is gonna say TPAB invalidates Kendrick & i will chug a brick thru they windshield for that
I'll always see it as a product of his label

I've always doubted that all the fault for this album lay with the label. It doesn't sit right with me. Some part of it is obviously the label wanted their hits, for sure. But this the game guy who made Superstar a hit.
From all the behind the scenes s*** I've watched (former stan) it seems like Lupe was developing a decently sized ego after the success of The Cool. Hence why a lot of long time collaborators didn't appear on Lasers either.
I think he got lost in the sauce a bit, and the label wanting him to make hits had him lose that creative passion that he had for the first two.
