I always thought it was mad corny for Jermaine to make a song about how he disappointed another man over a song and it made him look really weak

yea Cole a b**** for making this song over the best song on his debut

  • The fact Nas hopped on the remix made it not corny but yeah it was pretty corny initially

Like I don't think Nas even put too much thought into the comment or even cared like that lol

  • Nas knows Kendrick is the real God MC it's ok

Born sinner gotta be one of the worst albums I’ve ever heard from a rapper that’s supposed to be a young goat

his first two albums were pretty bad. he honestly didn't find his footing until FHD. then he quickly lost it again

  • You pretty much summed up my exact thoughts about that song @op

I'm a J. Cole fan, but yeah, making a song apologizing to another man about a song that you made that he didn't like was corny as f***.

Other than the intro (with those crazy ass bars) there are a lot of songs on there that I fw it’s a solid project

"Born Sinner" with Fauntleroy and She Knows are objectively awesome

  • I don't think it's corny. Nas was a huge inspiration to Cole, it's not some random guy that coles feeling a way about.

I’ve always liked Cole most when he flexes his pop sensibilities so im preferential but Power Trip has never left rotation

Me too bro. I was one of those Cole stans during TWU / FNL era who really thought bro was gonna be the next Nas.

His debut album was probably the most surprised I have ever been. Complete shift of musical expectations. He gave us a mid pop record like wtf
