He didn't even want to rap and was pushed to by industry people that thought they could make him a star, who then guaranteed that he was commercially successful from the very very beginning of his rap career. Just bc he knew these people personally, does that make it any different technically? (I think this whole industry plant argument is stupid but if we're having it I don't see how this would be considered all that different from a typical industry plant)
