His best work is HBO. The focus there is lacking in latter projects

No shortage of subject matter in comparison to comparable rappers, griselda included. I love HBO as well and I enjoy his raps with cohesive subject matter but not every album has to have a narrative. And if you listen closely enough, most of his actually do.
