he really doesnt get it... because his arguments only base is "i think eventually it will be"
not all classic albums were called classic straight away - if you look at music history from the 60s and onwards
Edit: it might never become a true classic but it's an album I can see a lot of people loving, eventually - especially R&B purists

PND3 isnt a classic... and dont say "well i think one day it will be" the title of the thread is asking if it is a classic.. IT ISNT.. and it probably wont be.. now his fans like it, maybe it will get a cult classic title, but i'd say pnd1 or 2 would get that look first just because of how they were received vs how pnd3 was..
I am just saying that there isn't an album in the R&B genre that takes as many risks as PND3. It has the qualities that could grow on people over time. That is all.

fair enough - from the conventional meaning of the word CLASSIC, PND3 definitely isn't a classic. But people are slowly starting to love it more. I consider it a "cult classic" and I think a lot of KTT members are starting to have different views about PND3 compared to how it was initially received. I hope it does become a classic one day, because it deserves it - not just because I like it but because PND really tried his best to make a conventional album that has both R&B and dancehall... But ended up making this mutant album that has almost no real genre.
I know how annoying it is when nearly every album is considered a 'classic" on KTT... But I think PND3 has a compelling case. It's an album that has so many layers and is truly a one of a kind that can't be replicated.
It's was pretty boring outside a few songs
you have to be in the right state of mind for it

A few times , can't remember when I went back to it in full. I didn't hate it but it just lacked the energy that I wanted from his first 2 projects

fair enough. maybe give it another try one day, especially when you're feeling down and isolated from society/love.
