The fact that I am willing to wake up at 5am and stand in line in the cold for 2 hours. Let’s say I could guarantee you a PS5 for retail price, but the only catch is that you have to drive 5 hours away to get it. Would you do it? No you probably wouldn’t bc it’s not worth your time and effort

But let’s say I offered to go get the PlayStation for you and give it to you for retail price as long as you pay me a fee of $10 to go do it for you? Would you agree? Yes.. you would. And you wouldn’t say it’s morally wrong. That is literally what I am doing except instead of people paying $10 extra fee they are paying $400 extra fee. Why is that wrong?

And the blame should be with the companies not the scalpers. They could have easily prevented this if they changed to a lottery system rather than first come first serve

Personally I think there's a fine line. With the case of an xbox/ps5 I think it's fine. There are other things I wouldn't scalp though - like concert tickets. It's not like there's a set limited supply of xboxes/playstations. They restock all the time - everyone who wants one will get one for retail eventually. The only people willing to pay these prices are too lazy to make the effort to try and get one. It's really not THAT difficult.
