at least 2 classic albums and one classic mixtape
legendary feature artist with multiple renegades/iconic verses
held his own on songs with GOATS
was part of many tracks to pave the way rap's ascend to mainstream levels
was a pioneer for modern brand deals
built his own label and signed some respectable artists who made actual careers for themselves and dropped classics on their own
Now obviously dude had his controversial moments and got eviscerated by 50, but his legacy might be enough to slide at like 9th / 10th spot all time
He’s in my top 10. Dude is special. Catalogue, pen, charisma, what he did with MMG a decade ago was incredible
Definitely top 20 for his impact on the game, classics, and for building a strong label
Damn that’s at least 70 songs and I bet a lot of people can too and he still ain’t top 30?

There’s definitely rappers that NEVER get talked about in the top 10 conversations that deserve to be and Rick Ross is one of them.
Jay, Big, Nas, Em, André, Q-Tip, Kendrick, Wayne, Mos Def, Kendrick - yep
Doom, Black Thought, Pac
Rakim, DMX, Busta - arguable, I wouldn't be mad
T.I., Missy, Common, Pusha, Redman, Future, Chuck D, Ice Cube, Scarface, Posdnuos, El-P Big Boi, Lupe, Drake - nah
Ross is like Clyde Drexler or Dominique Wilkins. Amazing, great longevity, definitely one of the best of his era, but there's been so much talent it's hard to put him in the upper category. I love his music but it's easy for me to name 10 people over him because of how much good music there's been
He's a great rapper, has had great songs, and many great features, don't care for lists
