I always see ppl who fell tf off claiming they got shadowbanned, but a lot of the time it seems to me like they've just stopped putting out engaging content and are trying to avoid responsibility for the decline in numbers.

Definitely some people use it as an excuse but also because it is an actual real thing.

People that work in social media have for example outright said that they will remove some stuff from trending tabs etc.

But definitely on IG and Twitter, there's some accounts which don't show up even if you search for them, which means theyve been shadow banned

I used to follow someone that was shadow banned, 3M+ followers w/blue check. He didn’t appear in searches so I always had to get to his profile through my feed

its real but often they let you know if you're in it. every single person crying about being there is more often that not not the case though, especially for online games where people might be in this lifelong tilt mode bc they think somebody's out to get them because they're that good

it's real but most people cope, most people are stray targets from the algorithm, for example when you're shadowbanned they have to type the entire username for you to appear in the search list, and you don't get to appear in the explore page
