Black Messiah is dope but only has 2 standout tracks. Another Life & Till it’s done.
Good grooves as well but tbh, you can hear those vibes at your local jazz club.
Because it’s Dangelo people don’t objectively rate the music.
Voodoo is forever a 10/10 no doubt.

I don't think he was agreeing with that the albums were run of the mill, just that he lacks consistency to be A or S tier artist, especially when put next to artists from the 70s which is fair tbh

look man, if you wanna get super technical and not regard someone like a D'Angelo as a "GOAT" artist and rather say he has "GOAT" albums or whatever, that's one thing. i'd respect it. but the nigga has records that are being played and appreciated (maybe even more so) TWENTY YEARS later. some niggas albums don't last 20 days. 20 hours. one spin and it's outta here.
