listened again today after awhile i think it slaps some creative moments on this shi i remember everyone including me was hating at the time
It's a classic.
First 5/6 tracks are good and then it starts sounding like an extended interlude.
As a whole is mid. 'experimental' music for people who only listen to chart hip hop
That track with kodak singing over the phone or whatever def gotta be one of the worst things I ever heard rocky listening back prob thinking this is the deepest s*** ever
yes, very underappreciated
people envisioned a mega popstar career for Rocky but this nigga always wanted to be underground or either doing this indie rap crossover he's been creating recently.
tbh he's doing good, I don't Rocky getting generic like Travis.

you need to have avant garde ears to understand the soundscapes on CALLDROPS.

This is prob true but also that whole thing is basically representative of the faux deep nature of the album anyway so it's all kinda the one

for all we know it was probably fruit of one of Rocky psychedelic trips but the aesthetic was dope and well represented on the music videos.
I still think ALLA is a better album but not by much. Then again I generally like indie so to see an artist as big as Rocky making music with Mac Demarco or Dean Blunt is a big W. Artists shouldn't have to appeal masses, I guarantee if labels weren't on artists neck most of them would rather stay lowkey having their true artistic ambitions come to life.
