I think it’s easily the most successful
G Herbo, Dave East and Denzel Curry the least successful on that list but they’re not flops. They have core fan bases that like them, and Denzel even had a viral song.
Anderson Paak is kinda in the Frank lane (not nearly as good or big), where even though he hasn’t had mainstream hits, he has a very strong fan base and puts out albums that do decently well.
Desiigner was a one hit wonder but it was a #1 billboard hit. Timmy Turner went viral, and is well known.
Lil D***y had a top 10 hit, his own show and is very well known.
Yachty is yachty. Never blew, but is very widely known.
21 Savage has a huge fan base, the backing of Atlanta so he’s really never gonna fall off, a #1 billboard hit, and multiple big hits.
Kodak Black also has a huge fan base, also has a #1, and multiple huge songs.
Uzi is probably the biggest rap artist of his generation (anyone since 2016), also has a #1 hit, and is incredibly famous with a fan base that is very very invested.
I think they get it.
Other successful years:
J Cole
Big Sean

Did I discover the new Where is Danny Brown? thread
thread will flop because you left out lil b from 2011.
He’s not really successful
I’m not including quality or cult followings just how successful artists are
Neither Kodak nor 21 nor Uzi has a #1, where did you get that from. I’d also not put East in the same category as Herbo and Curry, and i consider Timmy turner a legitimate hit

Oh s*** zeze peaked at #2, thought it was #1
21 on Rockstar
Uzi on Bad n Boujee
It was the last successful def
But the best? Idk bout that
2010 the best to me but this isn’t about that
Strictly success?
Strictly success
And I guess consistency, no one in 2016 was a complete flop
Other years had artists that were complete and utter flops even if the high end artists had more success

Features aren’t the same
2011 has Kendrick, Meek and Mac Miller. That is all.
That XXL show was on another level
