Well no, the point is that as an adult, Drake should not be in this situation. That's where the divide comes in. Grown men don't have teenage girl texting buddies. Whether he means it that way or not, the first thing everyone is gonna think even before sexual is that it's not right and inappropriate because it can be an avenue for something worse and can be easily misconstrued at best, so an adult wouldn't put themselves in that situation or shouldn't.
The thing about Drake is, he's shown he is not innocently talking to these young girls -- he actively plots to f*** em when they get older.
