i feel like there’s a few dre albums and doggystyle has a claim at top 5 all time hip hop albums before kendrick

  • infamous is in that convo feel like prodigy is underrated. ill always go back to reasonable doubt being my favorite pure rap album tho if you wanna keep it east coast

  • Yes.

    Not one skip
    Production is timeless
Prodigy and Havoc chemistry can't be replicated.
Nas, Ghostface, Raekwon, Q-Tip, Big Noyd features
That Grimey NY soundscape is done so gracefully.

On the same level as the usual top 5 picks.

it's been my favourite for awhile. I love how the beat builds. Havoc got my ear too. He is underrated as both a producer and an MC.

the production sounds as if you are wandering through a post-apocalyptic barren landscape in the middle of winter

  • Yes it’s is an undeniable staple

My top 5 albums considering impact on my life is

    MMLP
    Infamous
    XXX
    Black Up
    Yeezus

It’s the only album in my picks that I think across the board NEEDS be recognized at that level. That album is the New York sound and they created one of the most important waves in hip hop history. Eye for an eye instrumental is a top 5 beat to me aswell

  • It's definitely a contender but hip hop has been around so long that these types of lists are becoming more and more subjective.

  • Wouldnt be in my top 5 but i wouldnt argue against it

    Its a classic
