RX Nephew blew up in 2021 with American Tterroristt and followed it up with the innovative dance-infused Slitherman Activated. He continued his regular drops throughout the ensuing years both on YouTube and DSPs and put out a solid body of work with 2023’s Till I’m Dead.

Pap’s 2021 tape Foreign Exchanges with Gud was an instant underground classic with fantastic production and a lasting legacy, with 12 Stout Street blowing up as a Gen Z TikTok meme. Several jail stints threatened to put a pause on his career, but he has released two albums & a tape this year. Still, none have hit the same highs.

I love both of these guys (sorry 2doe I haven’t listened to you) but I sadly wonder if their moment had passed with their initial peaks. Many loose tracks are stellar but I keep waiting for a cohesive project the likes of Slitherman Activated or Foreign Exchanges & keep getting disappointed.

Where do you all see their careers going from here? Maybe another solid producer co-sign is what they need (Pap&Alc tape?)
