and it's only sold another 600k in 3 years. It's x1 platinum compared to all his other albums that were well received that continued to sell well. That was his weakest album and the sales show that. The Black Panther LP, Scorpion and ASTROWORLD from the same year are all x5 platinum. Drip Harder and Beerbongs and Bentleys aee also multi platinum for comparison

But I mentioned his other albums for comparison to be fair. Born Sinner, FHD and 4YEO didn't take 3 years to just sell 1 million because Cole got way more fans than that. That means half Cole fans or more didn't even support the album. It's doesn't matter how popular you are because if you make a classic it will sell. Lil and Gunna sold more than J Cole, put that in perspective. I hope this new album bounces him back but that depends on if it's good.
