It came out on her EP before she really got to know Drake and most likely of course was recorded before she even started working with Drake let alone met him. I remember the video coming out like a week or two have Nothing Was the Same dropped and I thought that was smart because she was about to get so much clout off being on one of the best songs on the most popular rappers in the world's album. Then she even went on tour with him.
That being said I do think they had a little thing because when she was performing Comfort Inn Freestyle in Toronto one time he name dropped Aubrey instead of one of original names of guys who did her dirty. But s*** man he was f***ing with Rihanna around that time too I would choose bad gyal over her any day too.

your on source is tv and the internetI mean sure my source is on the internet... but from Jhene Aiko... I used to watch a lot of her interviews from around that time. She was talking about the process of working on From Time and with Drake in general and the way she was talking and what she was saying she definitely was not dating Drake or even had a speaking relationship with him for that matter when she made that song.

Yeah but pretty sure it wasn't in person and they hadn't been in contact in between that and From Time. I remember one time in an instagram post she was at a Drake concert and her caption was "Drake said shoutout to the two pretty girls in the front right here like we didn't have a song with each other before" Implying they weren't in touch that whole time.
