The Weeknd is a great artist but he didn't write, produce, play almost every instrument and record all of his music.

Prince is one of the greatest live performers of all time. He released Purple Rain and Sign of the Times, just off of those two alone he created two of the greatest albums ever made. He's also got basically countless classics outside of that.

He created a new sound and aesthetic on every single album, wrote hits for other people, he starred in his own film and it's f***ing amazing, he was the only other person mentioned in the same breath as the most famous entertainer of all time, he f***ed all the hoes, he was great at basketball, he was short as f*** and wore womens clothing and blurred the lines between every single f***ing genre decades before that was cool and he was relevant for four decades.

He also has hundreds of songs still in the vault, went to war with the recording industry, he was pretty as f***, and the color purple, the color of royalty, will always be associated with him. He also has a ton of cool stories just about him, my personal favorite being that he wrote "when you were mine" on the balcony of his hotel while the rest of his band were out at Disney world because he was too hip for that wack ass s***.
