Alright y’all have successfully distracted me from homework for an hour great thread
????
You’re under surveillance
nah there’s no Bruno stans on here
he’d get washed
we’ll host it on a Costco Facebook group to make it fair
No way that second pic isnt photoshoped
Her lower half longer than Wayne's list of guest verses
Unpopular opinion but yeah is a god awful song and one of ushers worst. Didn’t deserve the shine over lovers and friends which was classic
The fact lovers and friends is delegated to a b sides album is horrid
Guess you aint getting crunk
If you’re not doing something special with the music then it’s not great imo
One of the biggest reasons we like art is cause it appeals to our heart and the human part of all of us. Sometimes that bland s*** passes for good cause it’s technically good but if it’s lacking in the human aspect then it falls short
But in reality I feel like we’re mostly arguing the same but we define certain things differently. Someone might think technically great music that’s pop is better than rougher around the edges music with heart and that’s just a matter of what we each define as good and bad
Sometimes when you peel back the layers the darker stuff can also come off as bland. If what Bruno Mars was doing is easy everyone would be doing it It's actually easier to be human when you keep it simple but I know what you're talking about. Some people understood it but they can still not like it

Listening to that song sober <<<<<<<
I see Bruno as an incredible talent who obviously is influenced by James brown and mj for one
I don't think Bruno will be an inspiration for his sound but for his talent most def- that's standard I think most would want to achieve (to be able to play instruments, sing, dance and write hits)
Who has mentioned the weeknd as an inspiration? (honest question not a dig)
Stop the cap, he's 5'5. Look it up guys.
He’s not 5’5 he looks way shorter, most celebs alrdy lie about their height
And Prince was scheduled to be on Starboy before he died
Need receipts

Are you saying music that isn’t dark/mysterious/eccentric can’t be special or great?

Basically the whole Toronto sound is trilogy
This s*** killin me
also abel's influence on music is very prominent, we are just far too close to the source of exposure to full fathom it in the long term
Expand on this please.
At work rn, lemme cook up when I get home
when a nigga actually calls your bluff
love it
Yes but based on the quality of hits, who's hits are more solid?
I'm riding with Weeknd. I didn't really like anything off of Bruno's first album.
This isn't biased at all
Don’t see how it’s overrated to make good music and get your bread at the same time.
Frank drop an occasional album, goes back home and watches Netflix and never come back outside and niggas talk like he reinventing music.
okay and don’t see how it’s overrated to drop music whenever you’ve polished a project you spent 4-5 years writing and go back to living life?
y’all seem to be viewing this through a dense lens. nobody saying Frank is reinventing anything, people just seem butthhrt for no reason that others like him.
He’s not 5’5 he looks way shorter, most celebs alrdy lie about their height
Well go look on Google and tell me what you find. Cuz it's not 4'11

I know he aint 4’11 prob 5’2 at most
Basically the whole Toronto sound is trilogy
But Trilogy is just Drake's sound isn't it? That's what The Weeknd said
