go on youtube and search Mr Morale and you will see multiple videos talking about how it didnt meet expectations , underperformed and was critically panned … true or not
He has been considered legend in hip hop for atleast 10 years and this is by far his biggest moment … once the victory lap wears off , with as fickle as fans have been i see a turn coming … it has happened to everyone before him .
I feel like part of drake is relieved , he can finally be the one to take a few months off in a texas ranch and craft a piece of work .
He sat on the thrown 14 years in a row and had to roll with a lot of jokes , expectations , beefs , allegations and controversies . he a sociopath like tom brady and steve jobs and these dudes dominate a field for multiple generations . his dominance had left sour taste in peoples mouth but i saw how people rallied behind gunna when the perception was everyone cliqued up against him …. as fans people love a underdog …. even if he isnt a actual underdog that could be a narrative a few months from now ….
but maybe drake is really washed and kendricks best work might be ahead of him …

just bc Kendrick defeated Drake doesn't mean he is assuming the same position and gonna aim to be the #1 hitmaker
if anything, this beef just showed the world that Kendrick has the skillset to be in the clubs and clown on niggas like Drake does and arguably even better / more effectively
but I doubt that Kendrick is gonna aim to be the West Coast Drake or whatever
I also doubt that Drake's next album will be in any way similar to any Kendrick albums content wise or in ambition
still love Drake's music but they're in different lanes

lol at drake ‘crafting a piece of work’
you really think this time we’re not going to get 20 focused grouped songs rapping about instagram and other petty bullshit?

Hnvm and Her Loss are masterpieces
Drake's been releasing ass water for years so this is the throne he's been sitting on recently
Last night felt like Kendrick was ascending to take his place on top to me, I think he wants to be seen as the gatekeeper of Hip-Hop.

Man I need to watch the stream
Missed it cause I was out but hear nothing but great things

The whole experience was fantastic, all 3 sets. Definitely recommend it.

You’re failing to notice how Kendrick dropped, and no one said “I wonder what’s next?” Instead it’s been about this moment. Staying in the now. Hello Eckhart Tolle and the entire concept behind the healing in his last album LOL
I don’t think he has any pressure. You saw a cool, calm, and collected man yesterday who seems to have figured out something about life and is now just vibing and standing on business until the next time we see him, luckily he said soon

People comparing it to The Lox versuz in NYC
