any way we can get that changed to be more than 5? i run police chase threads like on ktt1 and to update people i @ them. also would be helpful for other things that we run such as sports sxn awards and music sxn games

for that kind of thing i'm creating a follow thread feature where op can send notifications to all followers at once

so if im understanding the feature correctly, they'd have to follow each particular thread individually after creation to get notified?

yes

that makes sense for game threads or sports sxn threads where they are static and long lasting. the threads could last days.

but for police chases or other live events you don't know when they could occur or when they could potentially end. the idea is to be able to notify people immediately so they can come in right away and join in on the discussion/spectacle without having to find the thread and miss out.

ig we could just have a police chase megathread instead tbh

making people aware of updates to a thread they’re interested in is the site’s job
