For the most part I prefer it but truth or dare and rockstar are the worst offenders

OK Lapdance sounds about the same, we basically trade out that extra crunchy riff on the chorus for a lil more stripper moaning

Def got extra production attention since it was a single, the mixing during the rap verse better too, vocals more clear

Brain sounds much less punchy without the real bass and drums. Pharells voice sounds off without the extra filtering too. The ending fade out is better tho cuz it kinda gets quieter and Pharrell annoying ass moan at the end is less pronounced lmao

Truth or dare not bad in this version....till the weird quiet YEA YEA YEA bridge, it goes on forever to end the song with barely any music behind it, I much prefer how the rock version split it up and added that lil wah wah guitar riff after the first

Baby doll sounds like an unfinished demo, pharells vocals not nearly as smooth without the double layer filter. Beat is barebones with weak drums and soft bass without the pink panther style riff from the official version. And all the stuff that made the chorus soundtrack like the pretty backing vocals by the chick and the echoing WAIT are way lower in the mix

Torn on tape you, verses better cuz the most Neptune's sounding song sounds even more classic neptunesy but on the chorus that sonic adventure sound isn't as pronounced as on the official version. And my God that cringey s***skit at the end of the song goes on forever, if I hadn't been doing dishes I woulda cut the volume way down my neighbor gonna think I'm watching p*** on full blast or some s***. I see why they cut it, it obv fits the theme of the song but kills the vibe

Am I high....Holt s*** this gotta be the most improved from electronic to new version. That chorus is barebones garbage. To replace them smooth Lenny Kravitz style HIIIIIIIIIIGHHH backing vocals to just mumbling of "woah" "shit" etc. They def saved this song

The official version is a MASSIVE improvement to say the least. Sound far more crisp and clean, and the use of instruments and addition of background vocals and whatnot just liven it up and make it stand out that much more as a unique sound, dope ass album

Wow I’ll have to revisit the electronic. I remember completely disregarding it many years ago in comparison to listening to the live instrumental version but a few people are saying it’s the one itt.
