Perhaps the idea of a ‘big three’ throughout history in different fields, rap included, is a narrative we force because we like the idea of a pattern or holy trinity

And maybe in reality it’s a Stone Cold/Rock in the Attitude Era sorta thing, where there’s a yin/yang of two individuals that dominate in terms of respect and appeal, and a few others beside them who make their mark as well

In the 2010s that would be Drake/Kendrick, late 00s Wayne/Kanye. We’ve yet to see that pair for the 20s (Lil Baby could be 1a or 1b in this)

    Travis already took over cole

And Post took over Kendrick's spot. Now Uzi has to sell more than Drake and the big 3 is done.

man there are some amazing tracks on there but what the f*** are some others?they sound so flat and somehow repetitive even though I really enjoyed die lit. I mean just compare the intros

Just like you said bruh, we’re entitled to our opinions. Rockstar made is long time level.

Beno and slayer are god tier smashs

Dont get me started on stop breathing

Jumpoutthehouse Is some s*** i have never heard ever. An acquired taste, but i love it cause its f***in wild and weird and catchy.

On that time is some of the hardest s*** ive heard in a long time.

dude just leveled up overall imo

Let's be honest the autotune crooning is never going to win over the masses the same way Kendrick, Drake, and Cole have. I do not see any of these ATL or Drill rappers really breaking out the way those 3 did. Those 3 make music that is accessible, deep and connects well with everyone. The only person that had the opportunity to take that spot was Chance but he f***ed it up with TBD.

Trav can possibly do it but there's still a large group of people that won't even accept his style of music

Cant wait for that to happen. I mean how did Atlanta get so dominant all.of a sudden ?

By making better music than everyone and having different styles

Until we get out the trend of every rapper being a derivative of Thug and Future we ain’t getting a Big 3
