This could be a false memory but I remember listening to the Brooklyn We Go Hard leak by Jay-Z online sometime back in late 08/09.
Around that same time, I discovered a version or leak of "Crack A Bottle" that was very clearly a Dr. Dre single but featuring Eminem and 50 Cent. Like a comeback of the "Three-Headed Monster" s*** or promo for Detox.
I stopped listening to it for a while and looking it up. Then, after some months, I hear the same damn song but it's now an Eminem single on Relapse featuring Dre and 50 and it sounds a little different.
Does anyone else remember this or is this another "Mandela effect?"

I doubt Dre was planning to make detox mid.
I know this is wrong because in 6th grade this song came out and my best friend came over playing it and saying "he's BACK"
And I had never listened to Eminem or rap in general lmao so I was just laughing at how excited my friend was
Back then was like limewire days so I had different versions of the song with different titles and cover arts
This Eminem is still undefeated. We need that comical smack talking shady back again.
Nah Crack a Bottle was always Ems comeback I think but it was definitely a return of the 3 headed monster
since it leaked there probably was some confusion around it
always was an Eminem song, as a kid i remember it debuting on Power 106 as Em's comeback song

it was indeed originally supposed to be a detox single. the leaked version has two dre reference verses and em says "the platinum duo" which was later changed to trio when 50 hopped on it.

Ah okay. I definitely misremembered then.

This music video was always really cool to me. Showing all 3 of their distinct backgrounds and styles

You ain't wrong
It leaked as a dre song with 2 dre verses and 1 em verse (50 wasn't supposed to be on it originally). It was reworked into an em single when it was released officially and they took off one dre verse and added 50 part

Ah okay. I knew I wasn't losing it.
And it's fine. Threads get bumped everyday lol.
