You really think that outro is leading to a second song? I fux w it, but admittedly, I feel like it’s a weird way to end the track
its definitely a teaser for the next track
Bleached a****** is a ridiculous line that people laugh about.
Pants might rip is supposed to be a hard hitting jab in a diss record but it comes off as silly
Ehhh I think people give more benefit of the doubt to certain people. It’s one bar of a probably 70 bar verse I don’t think it’s supposed to be a “hard hitting” jab actually. It’s purpose is more to set it up as an actual song and be catchy and keep the scheme flowing. The harder hitting lines are as the song goes on. Beginning is going easy and trying to be catchy
its definitely a teaser for the next track
Just a feeling you have!l? Or there’s actually an indication of that being true?

..for the love of god kendrick drop the goddamn song so we can move on from this tragedy of a fanbase and their insane coping

Bleached a******s is more subversive. You’re right in that it’s “so bad it’s good” absurdist humor.
How can we get this to #1 we gotta beat Taylor. Hip hop tap in, will you let hip hop die?

Even making the top 10 will be insane with her release

Silly but also with a potential undertone Kendrick is being taken advantage of
Without being too graphic lol

Maybe not bigger, but he can at least prove he knows how to use it
His manhood is on the line

Okay I gottchu thanks
Also I REALLY liked the little outro at the very end, but it felt lowkey out of place to me. Like it’s a weird way to end the song? What do you think
i think it's a teaser.
i think the original gameplan was to put this out unofficially as a "leak" and drop the Red Button diss after Kendrick put out a track of his own. pretty sure that snippet was a preview of wtv version of Red Button they had on deck at the time.
Kendrick not dropping a response (that he's been sitting on for years) on Friday shook up OVO plans tho, I think. the "it's not on DSP so it doesn't need a response" angle is probably what got them to put it on streaming. it releasing officially was probably unplanned and a decision made on the spot after they realized kendrick didn't drop anything thursday night, hence why it didn't come out at exactly midnight.
so, i think originally that outro was a preview of red button, but now that there's been a change of plans, I wouldn't be surprised if the OG red button is scrapped and they end up using a different beat.

That always came off as cope to me, and justifying it for Ye because he has a more “artsy” reputation so people are willing to squint at it and give it the benefit of the doubt beyond the initial “cringe”. TLOP is a more childish album than CLB and FATD to me. Where for some reason they take funny drake bars dead seriously lol it honestly gives hints of nerds hating on the cool guy
