Nov 13, 2019So I go to get a subway for lunch. There's only one guy serving, he seems new, pretty slow. 2 people walk in behind me so its a bit hectic for him.
He slides over my sandwhich and loads up the payment. I go to pay with samsung pay and hold it over the scanner. He see's this. And walks away to serve the others, in doing so he says 'thankyou'.
Now usually there's no problem but on this occassion samsung pay was a bit finnicky for whatever reason and it became clear to me that they payment hadnt gone through succesfully and he had to come and reload it up. He was unaware of this.
I picked up my sandwhich and marched out confidently never to be seen again. He will at some point likely realise he has given away a free sandwhich. Should I feel bad? Will he get it deducted from his pay? Should I expect a visit from the po-po? Is it a righteous f***ing over of corporate capitalism?
