demon's souls and DS1 used male and female not that it matters, but the body type 1 vs 2 thing is definitely a new thing

personally don't really understand this particular issue from either side if we're being real. in DeS for example it asks you to put your gender and then the options are biological sex, which makes no sense obviously because male and female aren't genders, they're s***or s***assigned at birth. i feel like the most reasonable thing to do for modern games is simply to be accurate and use the term sex, or don't ask for it and actually build out real gender expression, but most of these studios/publishers are too lazy to do that and just want to pay lip service to trans advocates i guess especially since 1 and 2 are still essentially a gender binary, and the chuds would get triggered by actual robust customization as you mentioned with bg3 lmfao. i also get if they don't want to put the term s***in their game because the ESRB would have a seizure lmfao, that's just living under theocracy in amerikkka i guess.

Its important to me to play as a buff woman and still have people refer to my character as "she" like why not give the option
