Even though it’s not Federal, RICO is about conspiracy. if they want to show that Thug is the leader of YSL and they can show that YSL (any members on it) commit whatever crimes, it will sadly probably stick. RICO was created for exactly this. They don’t need to show Thug actively committing crimes. They just need to show YSL is an organization (already done), Thug is the leader of it (already done), and members committed crimes under his leadership. The last part is the trickiest but if lyrics are admissible and can be tied to crimes members committed, then it is going to get even easier for the DA to paint the picture.
