There’s a certain value to s*** like that that goes beyond dollar signs or personal grudges, it’s almost disrespectful to the entirety of hip hop.

Aug 7, 2023·1 replyi honestly think that drake delayed his verse because of the diss. obv travis needed drake on that album to make another sicko mode hit so it didn't matter what he said in the verse, trav still gonna put it on the album. i think its kinda wack for trav to allow that since that down in atlanta song was one of the few tracks travis had out there between astroworld tragedy and utopia release.

Trav had to have heard at least the first part of Drake's verse.
Drake and Travis both have lines in the verse where they say "You're scared of the _"
Trav built his verse off of that. I doubt he wrote it in 4 hours before the album was turned in

Drake just most likely didn't clear the song until the album was about to be turned in or sent him a completed / mixed version before the album was gonna be turned in.
There's no way Travis wrote his entire verse in 4 hours though, he had to have heard some of Drake's verse
