They hacked the exchange and are threatening to release the source code which isn’t giving away money, it’s like giving away the blueprint and front door keys to a bank
You stole the bank owner’s money from his deposit box and you’re about to let the general public make copies of the master key. So anyone who has any money at that bank (could be anywhere all over the world) is now at risk of being wiped out

The syria thing was just a losing issue. Assad fled pretty much immediately then his army gave up. You can argue it was basically a coup. Nothing to do to stop it

China’s position is de-escalation but that position is only possible BECAUSE nobody has “officially” intervened. Their stance is clear outside of that. They back Iran and Pakistan because they’re China’s friend in the region. If these friends are gone, China has no true foothold in the Middle East. It’s much deeper than what they think about a regime change
