Obviously I don't believe everything the Trump administration is saying about this rescue mission. I am sure we will find out they lied about a lot of it in the future.

But, the pilot ejected from their seat and parachuted to the ground. The soldier they picked up today wouldn't be anywhere near where the plane crashed.

I could be wrong, but isn't that map showing where the plane crashed and then where the soldier was rescued? I have no idea how far off someone could land after ejecting and parachuting to the ground. We don't know how fast the jet was going, the wind conditions or how far up they were.

Not to say you’re wrong, but that’s a vast, vast difference in radius that doesn’t account for every other hole in this story

I trust the sources I get my news from, so I believe at the very least they rescued the soldier. Everything else we will need more information to determine whether it is true or not. I wish I had more for you, but the amount of misinformation from both the US and Iran is crazy.
