Not necessarily, North Korea is still standing firm and has been a strong ally in supporting anti-imperialist movements worldwide, like in Iran or Cuba. Largely thanks to them being a nuclear power and their socialist structure of their economy has made them more resilient.

The same racist lies perpetuated by western media about Iran and why they shouldn’t have nuclear weapons is the same logic they use to demonize DPRK and convince millions that a tiny state on the other side of the world is a hellhole dictatorship where everyone is starving and needs liberation.

NK isn’t materially supporting resistance movements to anywhere near the degree of iran. they’re not even comparable in that regard.

North Korea is apart of the global south. The fact the entire Korean peninsula isn’t overtaken by the US and the US backed puppet state of Occupied Korea is a testament to that for decades. I never said DPRK supported anti-imperialist movements within the MENA to the same extent as Iran in a material sense anyways, and for several reasons. Just disagreeing that you think “the global south” is over in any remote way.

it’s over in terms of overcoming imperialism and zionism on a global stage. NK will continue to exist in isolation within the current global order. iran is the last state materially threatening that order.

Except it’s not, imperialism isn’t just contained to the MENA region. Cuba has been surving for many decades with the help of countries like NK, the African continent has a long way to go but the sprouts of anti-imperialism against long entrenched Euro-American colonialism is still taking shape and will define the continent for the foresabel future. I jsut mentioned North Korea

Global victory isn’t won at once, this isn’t a civilization game. Iran being able to even retisliste to the extent it has and it being resilient against regime change attempts is survival in of itself. You’re confusing short term goals that aren’t even realistic right now (like Israel magically crumbling because Iran launched a counter attack) with the state of any anti-imperialist movement in general
