what did u mean by this tho
r u implying that ppl w/o big influence in the industry r more inclined to complain about it (due to the relative lack of access they have)?
not lack of access due to money or power but frustration that they can't break through like they'd like to

He just wants another spicy chapter in the big game of celebrity
“ I don’t want to get too specific”
Then who will?
You gonna wait till 40 women come out to jump on the train?
I mean it’s women and men (mainly men probably) who are the victims and abusers so that doesn’t really make sense
Also that’s a sure way to get blackballed, it’s deeper than that.

Let’s just say I put my cellphone light in the air at rolling loud
For this to be a forum that talks about hip hop and black culture so often it is kinda weird if someone doesn’t know a pretty popular figure in it
It’s not weird at all, not everyone knows everyone. There’s a lot of popular figures, that don’t mean they’re household names and are immediately recognizable

were ur toenails painted white?

Anyways, Issa Rae been a household name.
Kanye West is a household name
Issa Rae is not a household name at all
This why I hate seeing cacs talk about black culture lol
it isn't black culture it's someone who you know who happens to be black lol

Man if somebody don’t know Issa Rae in 2021 they just out of touch with black culture, probably shouldn’t be speaking on it freely and be listening to the people that are in tune more.
Yeah she's right. A lot of folks got no idea. Those deals are insanely convoluted..
From what I remember reading, artists are basically given a loan for their music and then they are on hook for a certain amount of streams/sales. If they don't reach that or lets say flop, they gotta keep paying the label back until they reach a certain amount of streams. At which point, they are probably on hook for even more as time goes on.

This is a wild statement bruh lmfao.
