Issa Rae and Ryan Coogler are on the same level of fame. Both households names.

Putting her up there with St. Spike Lee is sacrilegious. That's a legacy that speaks for itself but Issa is early in her career in terms of projects out so maybe 30 years down she'll get to that level.

Alotta people can't name 5 black actresses in our age bracket let alone a black writer... That alone makes Issa Rae a household name.

Idk if people realize the barriers that's bein broken durin our time. Black cinema is breakin past the tropes that the Shakespearean Blaxplotation era created.
