I don't know what other context there is to OP's posting history or whatever

But to me I took it as it woulda been cooler if 3 stacks was more in the traditional southern rapper trajectory once we get around love below and beyond

Now we did get the feature run later don't get me wrong. But nigga def woulda appreciated more traditionally southern hip hop Dre music moreso than the eclectic post- prince type s***. Imagining Dre closer to more casual southern rap fan type beats and concepts lol, or like I remember Ross compared Kendrick in the beef to what Andre would be like in a beef. I think of that in reverse like what does Dre GKMC or GNX sound like back then

Sometimes all that genre bending is overrated

I don't think it's anti black to wish 3 stacks did more Toomp Mannie Fresh David Banner 9th wonder Prime Neptunes etc beats (also didn't have to be "trench or gangsta s***", I'm thinking more proto Kanye/Cudi when they are rapping x Luda or more especially the type of s*** he talked about in his feature run) but I feel where you're tryna go

Andre's classic solo rap album is also probably in this alternate universe where he went this route lol.

Sometimes niggas overthink all that tryna be eccentric s*** + he also could have put some of that in the hypothetical phase I'm thinking of but maybe Im projecting music I want to hear onto his artistic journey

It's wild that Andre got to be more respected and highly praised than Big Boi by doing his own thing, yet people still want him to be Big Boi at the end of the day. Let a true artist be themselves.

Facts I'd take a whole album of s*** like that

Dude could have had a Kanye level 3-6 solo album run doing hella different varieties of southern rap lol

I think y'all are the ones with a reductive view of rap/southern rap if you think we're asking him to just be big boi lol

It's closer to him being the southern equivalent to the old pre 808's Kanye at least what I'm saying

What im asking for he kind of tapped into on Throw Some D's, art of storytelling 4, decemba remix etc

I just wish he had a whole run as a rapper on that type of time on traditional 2000's southern beats
