Broke people are niggas with no money that actively sit there and never do anything to get out and have their priorities messed up. I know a nigga that always had weed but got his car repo'd, that nigga was broke. I however, am poor.

To me broke is scraping by and barely surviving, like eating Ramen every night. Poor is you’re consistently lacking the basics you need to survive, like actually skipping meals because you cannot afford to eat

Broke = financially irresponsible, “failed” at life in some way, cash poor

Poor = more of a victim of circumstance like not speaking English or dropping out of school to support your family
