    The Bay inspired the formation of 213 and the founding of No Limit, also the place MC hammer came up for whatever reason

    Some of the first alt-hiphop scenes started in the Bay

    Lil Jon was found by Too $hort, they started what was basically the entire hyphy/crunk movement together w Mac Dre

    Add into that the Mustard era and the number of smaller artists bubbling from the Bay
