Its so weird how much people hate when they see someone being happy

Chance album was decent

JIK grew on me. My fav Ye album since TLOP. I like it for what it is, a gospel album. Has some incredible songs like Follow God, On God, Hands On, Use This Gospel (Law of Attraction could have been top 5 Ye easily, 80 Degrees too). This era been messy, the music has been solid at times, but very inconsistent overall. There's moments of genius in every song but feels like the ambition is missing imo.

JiK is average too. So there you go.

i will admit tho that if i had not heard the leaks, i would probably appreciate JIK a lot more. I noticed that with Pablo and JIK, because i'd heard the potential in early versions of songs (Wolves, Selah) that i felt he went on to ruin, it really made me enjoy the music less

It’s not because of the positive message and gospel sound. The album just isn’t good. Kanye has already done the gospel sound before with the same type of messages but a lot better. JIK is just half assed.
