Drake stimulus wasnt nearly as big in 2011/2012

and Kendrick was already being backed by west coast legends lol. Drake did help him get mainstream appeal though, and no ones arguing against that

    Didn’t s80 sell like 10k? Lol

Drake brought a couple of these niggas with him and gave em a good look, he ain’t the only or main reason they blew but acting like he ain’t a big part of their success is some BS.

Gave Rocky F***in Problems (which he originally gave to Kendrick but then he gave it to Rocky), Gave Kendrick that Swimming Pools connect and his fanbase was a sausage fest until Poetic Justice, females love that song. Brought em in a Stadium Tour and everything

its cuz it was a mixtape lmao. A lot of the hip hop community knew about Kendrick before the drake feature. The City verse was a big moment from him as well. Kendrick was always going to get the connects lmao. And Rocky also had a huge mixtape before F***in Problems. Drake just took advantage of these rising rappers to boost his own platform.

That's it's first week & it barely had any promo while still being underground while eventually going over 100,000, & he was blowing up in the underground & got the Dre connect during the creation of Sxn 80. Which is what lead to GKMC happening. OD was also received good, & sxn 80's ADHD was & still is a big song.

Drake helped, but he was going to come up regardless. Even if it was lesser.

Same with Rocky. His tape was giant underground & Drake did help, but he was still going to blow regardless to some degree in the mainstream.

This is like chalking all of Drake's success to Wayne & Kanye. He was still gonna blow to some degree regardless.

they're too young to remember that gkmc was the most hyped and anticipated album of 2012
    i don't blame them
the lady gaga co-sign alone did more for kendrick

    Reading comprehension my guy

Just like Wayne/Kanye are a big part of Drakes success, y’all Kendrick Stan’s just don’t wanna give credit cuz of the whole Drake vs Kendrick hoopla lol

Y’all do know the whole Dre/Kendrick connect is a label thing right? Just like when Interscope brought Game to G-Unit, they brought Kendrick to Dre. Surprised there wasn’t any Dre production on GKMC or ever really

    Wayne 100% put Drake on

At the end of the day, Kenny was blowing up underground and had the Dre co-sign which led him to sell like 5k first week lol

Then Drake gave him a huge placement on his 600+k fw album, he put him on his 40M tour and gave him a feature on GKMC which led him to sell over 200k fw

Kendrick couldve maybe blown up without him just like Drake couldve maybe blown up without Wayne but that doesnt change the fact that they were both put on
